Church family,

Last Sunday

At just the right time, Abigail stepped into David’s life as God’s way of protecting David from “working his own salvation” during an agonizing time of waiting for God to deliver justice to him. Church on Mill, may we be a place where we regularly step into one another’s lives to tell each other that God can be trusted, even in times during which justice seems within our grasp. If you missed the sermon, listen here to learn more about how Abigail gives us a glimpse of our perfect savior.

Membership Class

Another Membership Class is coming up August 3rd from 9:00am-4:00pm. Take a few minutes to read about membership here. If you know someone who needs to be in relationship with Jesus’s people, be sure to invite them to the class. Email gracie@churchonmill.org for more information. (Members are also encouraged to attend!)

Membership Statement of Faith

Have you gotten to explore the biblical texts that informed the proposed Membership Statement of Faith yet? Check them out here. One idea: each morning or evening, look at one of the articles of the statement and some of the biblical texts that it cites. Spend time praying about that article. Be sure to come to the Q&A Discussion Forum on July 28th at 3:00pm if you have any questions or want to think about any of the statement further. Please personally reach out to an elder with any questions, suggestions, or reasons you may vote “no.”

Second Peter 1:3-4 says, “His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.” God has promised us that we have all that we need to trust him and glorify him in all of life. Let’s lean on his promise!

Your sister,

Gracie
