Ruth 1:22-2:17

What a beautiful story we read in the scriptures last week. Ruth, a woman broken and alone after the death of her husband, finds herself a sojourner gleaning in a field for scraps to eat. Through God’s providence, Ruth comes upon the loving kindness of a man named Boaz. Boaz not only allows Ruth to glean in his field, but he also takes her in, feeds her, fetches her water, and offers her protection when she is out in the field. Through God’s providence Boaz shows God’s loving kindness to a downtrodden Ruth. Christian, do you believe God loves you? Is he truly generous and kind to us? You can find the answer in the sermon here.

Thanksgiving Picnic

It’s almost that time of year again! We will be having the thanksgiving picnic on November 18th starting at 3pm. Come bring a blanket, and a side or dessert to share. This is a great time to express the kindness and generosity of God to our community. Invite your friends and look out for people you don’t know. I hope to see you there.

The Lord’s Supper

Also this coming Sunday we will be taking the Lord’s supper. This is a great time to contemplate the death of Christ and the agonies of the cross as we look forward, together, to the promises of God.

Your Brother in Christ,

Brandon
