Dear Church Family,

Last Sunday

Last week we saw just how unfit Saul was for the kingship. While his son, Jonathan, trusted in the Lord for victory and “worked with God” (1 Sam. 14:45) to bring about the salvation of Israel, Saul cowered in hiding, disobeyed God’s word, and was a burden to the Israelite soldiers. He was unfit to be king because he had never learned to trust and obey God as the ultimate king. But praise God, we Christians have a king who is worthy of the title—Jesus, who never disobeyed his Father. He does not lay heavy burdens on us, but enables us to overcome sin and temptation. This week, may we follow him into the victory that he has already won!

Members Meeting

Join us for our members meeting on May 19th at 6 pm in the church auditorium. We’ll gather to hear testimonies and updates in the life of the church, to pray, and to thank God for the many things he is doing at Church on Mill. Hope to see you there!

New Connection Classes

New connection classes will start this Sunday (May 19th) in the Christian Challenge Building.

Jesus the True and Better (9:30 am): This class will consider how Jesus fulfills perfectly all that the Old Testament looks forward to.

What We Believe (11:15 am): In an age of relativism and rejection of authority, we’ll take a closer look at the beliefs that consecrate us from an unbelieving world, unite us with the body of Christ, and define what it means to truly be a disciple of Christ.

Together

God has designed the body of Christ to flourish when all the parts work together. Church on Mill grows up into Christ as every member serves through his or her God-given gifts.
