Matt. 6:19-24
“Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matt.6:21) What would you consider your greatest treasure? Last Sunday, during Chuck’s sermon, we examined our hearts to discern if we are focused on God or focused on the world. One of the biggest indicators of this is how we spend our money. If we treasure God then we will leverage money for the kingdom, if we treasure ourselves we will leverage money for our own satisfaction and well fare. Jesus ends this section of scripture with a powerful statement for many of us today. “No one can serve two masters… you cannot serve God and money.” (Matt. 6:24) You can check out the sermon here.
Christian Challenge Flagstaff Trip
January 8-10, Christian Challenge will be hosting a statewide retreat called Surge. This is a great time for our college students to connect with other students around the state as they worship and grow in the Lord together. Please be in prayer for our students as they attend and encourage any college students you know to join us!
Missions Informational Meeting
There will be an informational meeting for the Scotland mission trip and the East Asia mission trip on the 20th at 12:45 after church in the west wing. If you are interested in going or simply want more information about these trips please join us!
Youth Winter Retreat
The youth will be taking a trip to the white mountains from January 19th-21st. Please be in prayer for them and encourage any youth you know to join them. Thank you for being a church that would send such a large group of teenagers away for a weekend to spend time together in God’s word.
