Brothers and Sisters,
Last Sunday
“Give us this day our daily bread.” Chuck continued our Prayer series by analyzing this passage from Matthew 6:11, a lesson on how precisely we as Christians should ask God to fulfill our desires. I see this sermon is exactly what we need moving on through the sermon series and throughout our day-to-day lives. God is a God who promises to meet our needs.
Director of Family Ministries
Tim Stokes was voted in with an almost unanimous “yes” to become our new Director of Family Ministries! As we go through this new transitional period for both him and ourselves, please be praying for the Stokes family as they search for a new place to live and say goodbye to family. We will keep you in the loop as to Tim’s official start date with us. In the meantime, please be considering how you can invest yourself into the Stokes family as well as our own family ministry in the extremely important ministries from birth through high school.
Stories from Scotland
Still anxious to hear about what went on with our Scotland Team during their overseas service? Wondering if God is calling you to pursue something similar someday? On Saturday November 7 at 1:00pm, we invite you to come and hear stories about our Scotland missionaries in the auditorium east wing. Please join us for some refreshments, testimonies, fellowship, and of course, highlights from the trip.
Thanksgiving Feast
Thanksgiving is now on its way. On Sunday November 22, from 6:00-8:00pm, we will host our annual dinner in the main auditorium, where we will get to “rejoice, pray, and give thanks” to the Lord and all his blessings throughout the year. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18) Sign-ups for food will be available on the patio beginning November 8th. Please feel free to invite anybody you know!
With Halloween arriving on Saturday, your week may surely be packed with dressing your kid up as Iron Man or Elsa, escorting him or her around the cul-de-sac at night, trying to manage the guaranteed sugar rush, and attempting to set limits with how much candy your kids can eat per day. But as Halloween is coming around, along with our crazy holiday season approaching immediately after, we pray that you will use the opportunities to both enjoy friends/family and engage the lost with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
With much love,
Trevor Pacelli, Ministry Intern
