The Grove (Church Planting Network)
For many years, several pastors around the Valley have explored the possibility of forming a new network to plant churches in Arizona together. As a sending church, Church on Mill has been involved in these types of ministry initiatives for decades, but this new endeavor will make it possible to partner with like-minded churches to send teams of church members to help start new churches. This vision fits squarely with our objectives as a body. The network has recently been formed with seven founding churches, so The Grove is included in the Proposed 2022 Budget. We’ll continue to be involved with Southern Baptist efforts. The Grove will be in addition to, not in place of our existing partnerships. Initial funding will be used for the startup costs of a new 501c3, a stipend for the part-time Director, and the funding of the first church plant. More information is available here.
The Phoenix Metro Area is the fastest growing metropolis in the United States. Consequently, there is a tremendous need for new gospel-centered churches to reach both existing and new residents with the good news that Jesus saves. The Grove Network seeks to help meet this need in not only the Valley, but eventually in the whole state of Arizona.
