Dear Church Family,
Last Sunday
In John 12:12-19 Jesus enters the city of Jerusalem to the shouts of “Hosanna! Hosanna!”—God save us! Here was the king of Israel. The Jews might have thought it odd that their Savior King would choose to make his grand entrance on a donkey, but that did not discourage them from believing that he would deliver them from Roman rule and restore their former glory. Until he was crucified. Then they were disillusioned. Jesus did not come to bring political salvation—he came to save people from their bondage to sin. From spiritual death. What are your hopes and expectations for the Savior King? He has already met our greatest need for eternal life with God—let your hope be in nothing less!
