Dear Church Family,
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
Last week Pastor Tad preached an encouraging sermon on the end times. We looked at 1 Thess. 4:13-18 as Paul encouraged the church to remember the coming of the Lord and Christ raising the dead. This was an incredible encouragement to the people of that time as they watched their friends and family pass away while awaiting the coming of the lord. Likewise, as we work daily and deal with the frustrations of life we should hold on to the hope of our returning savior and work toward pleasing him. You can check out the sermon here.
GC Update
Pam shared on Sunday about the gospel communities at our church. A gospel community (GC) is a group of disciples sharing life together and living their shared life on mission for the glory of God. This is one avenue where we experience the richness of living among God’s people and working in community for the advancement of the gospel. If you are not connected to a GC, now is a great time to get connected. You can get more information here.
1 Samuel Series Begins
We are beginning a new sermon series this Sunday on 1 Samuel called “The Making of the King”. This series will take us into the summer as we focus on Israel’s transition from the time of the judges to the kingship.
Your brother in Christ,
Brandon
