Dear Church Family,
Last Sunday
In Matthew 5-7, Jesus gives his most famous sermon in which he describes the kind of people that belong to his kingdom. They are a distinct people—a people who stand out from the world as salt and light (Matt. 5:13-16). How so? For one, their values are different. They are poor in spirit; they mourn all that is not right in the world; they are meek. Secondly, they have a different sort of righteousness. It exceeds all other worldly standards, and yet it is not self-earned; it is given by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Thirdly, they are authentic. Their good deeds are aligned with good motives. Fourthly, they have a different treasure. They are seeking Jesus and his kingdom before all else. Finally, their relationships are distinct. They are marked by grace. Church on Mill, by God’s grace let us live this distinct life under the rule of our good king, Jesus Christ. Click here to listen to the full sermon.
Members Meeting
Join us this Sunday from 6 – 8 pm in the church auditorium for our Members Meeting. This is a time to hear testimonies and updates in the life of the church, to fellowship and pray together, and to be encouraged by God’s word. One item on the agenda for this week is an important update concerning changes in Church on Mill’s college ministry. Come find out more!
