Brothers and Sisters,
Last Sunday
In Shing’s sermon on 1 Samuel 27-28, we saw David run to the enemy for deliverance, and we saw Saul run to a medium for deliverance. Each day, we see ourselves running for deliverance to places equally hopeless. As you run around with a baby on the hip, it likely feels that your deliverance depends on your own competence or your child’s behavior. As you wake up early to work another long day, it likely feels like your deliverance depends on the success of your business or the understanding of your boss. But in Christ, our deliverance has already been accomplished. He has promised to never leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5) as we wait to see this deliverance come to full fruition. What a promise!
