Dear Church Family,

Last Sunday

Last Sunday we saw that Jesus is the King who is worthy of anointing and worship, yet also the Lamb who was slaughtered for our sin. This truth was beautifully demonstrated through the humility and sacrifice of Mary, who anointed Jesus’ feet with expensive perfume and wiped them with her hair. What a picture of worship! She let down her hair, a symbol of her glory, and wiped Jesus’ feet, the lowliest part of the body. That is how great the glory of Jesus, the one of whom John the Baptist said, “I am unworthy to untie his sandal strap!” And yet this glorious King came down to us, died for us, and bore our sins. Let us respond in worship. Let us lay down our glory at the feet of the one who is worthy.

Members Meeting

Join us this Sunday (1/21) for our Members Meeting from 6 – 8 pm in the main auditorium. This is an important time of fellowship to be encouraged, to hear about what God is doing in the life of the church, to give feedback, to pray together, and more. Hope to see you there!

International Student Lunches

Are you an international student? Join us every other week for a free lunch in the Christian Challenge building right after the second gathering (12:45pm). This is a great way to make new friends and to get connected with the many activities that Church on Mill offers international students. Our next lunch will be on 1/28.

Your brother in Christ,

Phil Hoshiwara
