Brothers and Sisters,

It was a joy to worship with you last Sunday.  Proverbs is not an easy book because it exposes our character flaws.  No man or women loves that process, but it is necessary to become a people mature in our love and affections for Christ, each other, and God’s world.  Lets embrace the process as we continue to navigate through wisdom grounded in the fear of the Lord (Proverbs 9:10).

In our instant gratification society that does everything to tear down the wall between our desires and unreservedly satisfying them, might we heed the words of Proverbs 25:28, “A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls.”  Let Romans 13:14 guide you this week as you practice restraint, “But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.”

What about Baptism?

Don’t forget!!  Immediately following Sunday’s gathering (March 20th) in the East Wing of the Auditorium there will be a Q&A for anyone interested in learning about baptism or desiring to be baptized.  Baptism is a powerful visual of salvation.  Come prepared with as many questions as you like.  Pastor Chuck will give a brief overview and then answer your questions.

Good Friday and Easter Worship Gatherings

Good Friday and Easter are just days away.  Check the calendar for all the details, but here’s a few highlights: On Good Friday (March 25th) we will share a light meal together at 6pm and then worship and reflect on the sacrifice of Christ.  Great activities for kids through 4th grade will run during the worship time of 6:30-7:30pm.  Easter Sunday (March 27th) join us at 10am for light refreshments (no Connection Classes) and then our Worship Gathering at 10:45am as we celebrate Christ, our Risen Savior.  Excellent activities for kids will be provided as normal during the worship gathering.  Who will you be brining with you?  Pray and invite someone this week.
