Dear Church Family,

Last Sunday

The people of God have always been a singing people. “Make a joyful noise to the Lord,” the psalmist cries, and, “Come into his presence with singing!” (Psalm 100). Last week we walked through this psalm of singing and saw that our song has a source. It is not the song of a whim or the song of happy circumstance—it is the song of the Lord. It is a song rooted in the knowledge of God and his steadfast love and faithfulness. God’s people always have a reason to sing because they are a redeemed people. A saved people. This Sunday morning as we gather together, let your singing both flow out of and drive you to this wonderful knowledge of God. Consider Christ crucified and raised to life, the fullness of God’s steadfast love and faithfulness, and sing for all God has done!

Thanksgiving Offering

We give thanks to God not only through singing but also through giving. In this season of thanksgiving, consider giving above and beyond your normal tithe. The end of the year always makes a big difference in the church’s budget and ability to continue important ministries. Thank you for your faithfulness in this area of stewardship!

Your brother in Christ,
