Dear Church Family,

Last Sunday

Why does the resurrection of Jesus matter? That is the question we considered last week from John 20. What we found is that the resurrection is packed full of significance. First, it tells us something about who Jesus is. Jesus is the King who has inaugurated his kingdom in the world, and whose sacrifice on our behalf was accepted by God the Father. Second, the resurrection tells us something about believers. We have peace with God. In Christ, we have been raised and seated in the heavenly places with Jesus (Eph. 2:6). Third, and finally, the resurrection tells us what to tell! The church’s mission is to proclaim a death-conquering, resurrected Savior who gives new resurrection life to all who will turn to him. We proclaim this message, and then work to see one another grow up into the fullness of this resurrection life. Brothers and sisters, take time to meditate on the resurrection. It means too much not to!

East Asia Stories

Join us this Friday from 6 – 8 pm in the west wing of the auditorium. We will get to hear from a team who recently got back from a short-term mission trip to East Asia. Come encourage them and be encouraged by them!

Your brother in Christ,
