Dear Church Family,

Last Sunday

Do you have peace? For most of us, peace is like fine china in the store—fragile and short-lived. The “do not touch signs” we’ve written in large bold print do little to prevent life’s difficult circumstances from shattering our peace. But in John 16:25-33, Jesus gives us a different kind of peace. It is not a peace governed by circumstances, but one controlled by this unchanging truth: Jesus has overcome the world and brought us into an intimate, loving relationship with God. Brother and sisters, let Christ be your peace. Anything less will not withstand the fury of this world.

Good Friday and Easter

Join us for a solemn Good Friday service on March 30th. There will be a soup dinner on the grass field at 6:00 pm followed by a time of worship at 6:45 pm. Then on Sunday morning (April 1st) join us as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord with worship services beginning at 9:30 am and 11:15 am. There will be no Connection Classes, but Gospel Project will still be available for preschool and children (1st – 5th grade). Invite a friend!

Members Meeting

It was great to gather with many of you last Sunday evening for our members meeting. We got to hear several encouraging testimonies from church members as well as two local pastors who have been blessed by the ministry at Church on Mill. We learned more about our new role as a “sending church” for Light in the Desert Baptist Church, and spent time praying together. I look forward to our next meeting!

Your brother in Christ,

Phil Hoshiwara
