What does Jesus actually think that the church should be like? This question should be the basis for everything a local body of believers does, as he is the head of our body (Colossians 1:18). As our church continues to dive into the depths of our church governance documents, it is critical that we don’t forget what is truly preeminent: our savior being the cornerstone of our work.
For this purpose, our pastors want to share with you a sermon series from about a year ago in which we explored the very question posed above. If you need to re-root yourself in the foundations of why we would be considering church governance proposals in the first place, this series is a great place to begin. Here is the entire Jesus on Church series, and below are links to individual sermons if you are interested in a specific topic.
