Dear Church Family,

Matthew 26

Last week we observed Jesus institute the Lord’s supper in Mathew 26. Pastor Chuck first took us back to the Passover in Exodus and reminded us how God instituted the practice as a way for the Jews to remember how God delivered them from Egypt. The Lord’s supper is incredible because Jesus created it on the Passover as a way of establishing a new covenant practice. As Christians we celebrate the Lord’s supper to remember how Jesus has given us a new covenant in his death on the cross. We now take the bread and wine to proclaim we are united together as a church, saved by his death and resurrection, and awaiting the day we will see him in eternity. It is truly a beautiful act of remembrance and unity that the church body is given. You can check out the sermon here.

Membership Class

Curious about becoming a member at Church on Mill? Or maybe you are simply in need of a refresher about what it means to commit to the body of Christ. You’re in luck! This Saturday from 9:00am – 4:00pm we will be having a membership class in the west wing. Feel free to come by and join us. The class is not a commitment to the body, its simply there to inform what it means to be a meaningful church member. I hope to see you there!

Your Brother in Christ,

Brandon Reimus
